The beauty of private tuition is that all sessions can be planned to deliver what you want, when you want it and at whatever level you need. So whether it’s the first time we will be meeting or you’ve done a few of my sessions before, I hope you find your time at the shed to be relaxing and stress-free while also productive and inspiring.

These sessions are suitable for absolute beginners and those with some experience.

'JEWELLERY IN A DAY' will enable you to make a lovely piece of jewellery ‘in a day’. You will learn how to choose the right materials for your design ideas and measure, cut, texture and form your metal. You will then learn to solder it all together and include embellishments such as pre-cut shapes and a gemstone if you wish.

During these sessions, I provide light refreshments and a wide choice of materials and design examples which you are either welcome to recreate or use to help inspire your own unique piece of jewellery in silver, copper, brass or bronze.

If you wish to create a piece that requires a large amount of silver or extra gemstones, these can be purchased on the day. If you already have a very specific idea of what you would like to make or have your own piece of family jewellery or gemstone that you would like to incorporate into your design, please contact me at least a week before you plan to have your session, so I can ensure we have all the materials needed to make your design a reality.

'TECHNICAL TUITION' is designed for those who are more techniques focused. Perhaps you'd like to learn a new skill or troubleshoot an area you have been struggling with. Many students book these sessions as a crash course introduction to silversmithing or a way to top up their skills. Materials are not included in these sessions as the materials needed are very specific to your aims for the session. Many students bring their own materials or there will be a selection available to buy on the day if required.
