Technique Masterclass for 3 - £150pp
Grow your skills! For all abilities. Discounted rate per person when booking with a friend.
Service Description
This is the perfect choice if you wish to learn a specific technique or cover the basics of silversmithing to help you get started at home. Basic materials such as copper, brass and some stones are provided. Precious metals such as silver and gold can either be bought on the day, or students are welcome to bring their own. These workshops typically last 4 hours or up to 5 hours for larger groups and are run from our designated jewellery studio, Orchard Jewellery Workshop, in Kingswood, Bristol. Want to book with friends? Please get in touch and let us know how we can help. • LEARN NEW SKILLS Technical Tuition is designed for those who wish to learn specific skills or tackle their own projects. The sessions focus on the technique and your learning rather than a finished piece of jewellery. • PROBLEM SOLVE Perfect if you've been having problems with your jewellery making and wish to troubleshoot and develop your skill set. • GAIN CONFIDENCE We never stop learning, and often, the cause of a technical problem can be hard to identify but easy to fix. Technical Tuition can help you identify the issues and progress with more confidence. • BOOK WITH A FRIEND Technique Masterclasses can be booked with friends and family! Just choose the technique your group wishes to learn from the list below or get in touch for advice. Want to book a larger group? Feel free to email Kim. • TAILORED TO YOU Do you have a specific aim, budget or need? The joy of private tuition is that the session can be fully tailored to you. Just get in touch and let us know what you are looking for. • ALL ABILITIES All abilities are welcome, but please note that these sessions are designed to provide technical tuition. They cover all the basics of your chosen technique and leave time for troubleshooting and other questions. These sessions do not guarantee a finished piece of jewellery, and you will often learn less when trying to make a finished piece rather than fully focusing on getting to grips with the techniques. Therefore, it is usually recommended that people book these sessions if they already have access to jewellery tools and plan to refine their skills outside of their Technical Masterclass. If you’re looking to make a finished piece of jewellery, please check out our Jewellery in a Day sessions.
