Do you have a young person, age between 10 - 17 years old, who would like to make their own silver or mixed metal jewellery?
Come and join Lottie at Orchard Jewellery Workshop for a Young Persons Textured Ring Workshop. They will be guided to create their unique ring in our friendly workshop.
This Kids workshop is for young people age 10 - 17 and is suitable for all abilities, including absolute beginners, but if you have any questions or want to make sure this is the creative session for your child, please don’t hesitate to get in touch via the contact details at the bottom of this event listing.
Materials
The ticket price for this workshop covers all necessary tools and materials for creating a solid sterling silver ring or copper, brass or bronze if they prefer.
Agenda
Our Kids Ring Workshops are relaxed, friendly sessions where your child will have a chance to:
- Try out a range of texturing techniques
- Learn how to use the tools required, safely
- Learn how to solder jewellery with a blowtorch
- Create their own handmade ring
- There is also plenty of time for QA
Refreshments
A good selection of biscuits, teas & coffees, dairy milk & oat milk and squash are provided. The studio has a small kitchen, including a fridge, microwave, toastie machine, and crockery, which are available should you want to bring your own lunch. If you have any dietary requirements, please contact us before booking to ensure these can be accommodated. The White Elephant Café, a few minutes away, serves coffee and refreshments from Monday to Saturday, 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
About the host
Lottie from Foraged Smith is a jeweller and metal worker based in Bristol and Resident Tutor here at Orchard Jewellery Workshop. Outside of the workshop, you’ll find Lottie also teaching welding, creating her own metal work and jewellery or selling her products at local markets.

Located in Kingswood, Bristol, Orchard Jewellery Workshop is one of the best-equipped jewellery studios in the South West. The studio is welcoming, light and airy, with free parking. Transport
Orchard Workshop has free parking and is a few minutes walk from Kingswood Highstreet, which offers multiple bus services.
Arrival:
- Free parking is available at The Kingswood Estate, and on-street parking is nearby. If this is your first visit to Orchard Workshop, please read the full directions, as finding the studio can be tricky.
- Parking may be limited during peak times, so we recommend arriving early. If you arrive more than 15 minutes early, please note that Orchard Workshop and the access gate may be locked.
- The White Elephant Café serves coffee and refreshments from Monday through Saturday, 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

Cancellations & Refunds
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone this workshop. In unforeseeable circumstances like extreme weather, we will give as much notice as possible. If the event is cancelled or postponed due to low ticket sales, we will give at least 5 days' notice.
In either case, anyone who has purchased a workshop will be offered a full refund and/or a ticket to a future event.
