Join us at Orchard Jewellery Workshop in Kingswood for Ad Hoc tuition.
Who These Sessions Are For:
These sessions are available to past students with enough knowledge of the studio and tools to join sessions on an ad hoc basis. While support will be available, it needs to be evenly shared amongst the whole class, so these sessions are perfect for students who have completed previous courses at Orchard Jewellery Workshop or have attended Private Tuition with Kim.
Materials Included:
Your course fee covers access to all necessary tools and basic materials, including copper and brass, allowing you to learn fundamental techniques without any extra costs. For those looking to elevate their projects, a small selection of sterling silver and gemstones will be available for purchase during class, and a list of suppliers will be provided for students who wish to purchase their own materials.
Skills Covered:
- Fundamental skills such as sawing, forming, and soldering.
- Advanced skills like stone setting, casting, and reticulation.
- Design resources to help you find and develop your creative voice.
- Ample time for questions and answers to support your learning journey.
- Some options may not be available during your session if they will require a lot of 1-1 tuition. If in doubt, please contact us before booking.
Join us and have fun in a supportive and inspiring environment! We can't wait to see what you create.

Prices

Please notify Kim at least one week before your workshop to discuss any specific/specialist materials (e.g. gemstones, gold) that you wish to work with so that she can order them and let you know of any additional costs (payable in advance of the day by credit card, debit card or cash). Kim cannot guarantee that your additional materials are in stock and cannot issue a workshop refund should such an occasion arise. If you are still determining what you want to make before your workshop, this is completely fine, but you will need to work from the materials that Kim has available (usually copper, brass and silver).

does not comply with the health and safety rules will be excluded from the class or the whole course with no refund.
Kim also reserves the right to exclude any student she feels may be a danger to themselves or other students. If, upon your arrival, she considers you to be incapable of working safely due to alcohol, drugs or ill health, you will be excluded from the class, and no refund will be given.
Acceptance
By booking your workshop, you are deemed to have accepted these Terms of Booking, which you (and anyone sharing the workshop with you) are asked to read before purchasing your workshop. You are responsible for passing on these Terms of Booking to any other students who may be attending your workshop with you.
Please add hi@makeit.kim to your email address book to ensure you receive any pre-workshop information you are sent.
