Description

Join Kim at Orchard Jewellery Workshop, Kingswood, to create Five 14k rolled gold rings in time for Christmas! In this 2.5hr session, you will be given expert guidance to create your own beautiful rings using traditional goldsmithing techniques in our friendly workshop. You will work with five pieces of slim 14k rolled gold wire, which will sit together to create a statement stack of rings. If you prefer to mix things up, you can also work with sterling silver, copper or rosy bronze.

Rolled Gold, also known as Gold Filled, is a solid layer of gold (14k) permanently bonded to brass. The minimum layer of gold must be at least 5% of the weight of the total item. It is very hard-wearing, and under normal wear, the gold will not peel or flake, unlike gold plate. It can last up to 30 years and is commonly used as a more economical alternative to pure gold.

This Ring Workshop is suitable for all abilities, including absolute beginners, but if you have any questions or want to make sure this is the creative session for you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch via the contact details at the bottom of this event listing.

Our regular Group workshops are open to anyone age 16+. Looking for workshops for younger participants? Check out our Private Tuition sessions.
